Writing
I enjoy writing articles, personal stories, instructional, and informational media. I have always enjoyed the creative element in writing and appreciate those with a gift for influencing, encouraging, and inspiring others with the written word.

In addition to filling the silence, I enjoy speaking and writing for unheard voices and bringing light to things that many aren't necessarily thinking or writing about. When I can enter the silence and encourage, inspire, or influence, it feels like victory to me.
I have also done various forms of technical writing in the context of training & development and instructional design. While different than creative writing, there is pleasure in producing something that enables others to do their job, understand instructions, find their way, or even save a life.
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing." By nature, I am a doer and prefer to be engaged with people. As that is not always possible, the pen can sometimes serve as a conduit to others and hopefully, something worth reading. Some samples can be seen here.
